Top Ten Sandra Bullock Movies

February 28, 2012

I love Sandra Bullock movies, as I know many other people do. She has done many movies over the years, and I wanted to tell you all my top ten favourites that you should watch. These top ten movies were very difficult to put in order, some more than others, because Sandra Bullock is so great in each of them. So read my list, let me know what you think, and check these movies out sometime!

10. Premonition (2007) A depressed housewife learns her husband was killed in a car accident the day before, awakens the next morning to find him alive and well at home, and then awakens the next day after to a world in which he is still dead. I found this movie to be slightly confusing, but I can sometimes be easily confused when I see a lot of flashbacks or flash forwards. I thought Sandra’s acting was quite good though.

9. Speed (1994) A young cop (played by Keanu Reeves) must prevent a bomb exploding aboard a city bus by keeping its speed above 50 mph. Honestly, who has not seen this movie and is a fan of Sandra or Keanu? I’m not into action movies very much, but this one is entertaining. I also am a big of of Keanu Reeves. He and Sandra make great movies!

8. Murder By Numbers (2002) Two gifted high school students execute a “perfect” murder – then become engaged in an intellectual contest with a seasoned homicide detective. Ryan Gosling is in this movie, who I adore, and Sandra is great in her role in the film. The movie is a little different than others, but definitely one to check out if you’ve never seen it.

7. Two Weeks Notice (2002) A lawyer decides that she’s tired of being used too much like a nanny by her boss (played by Hugh Grant), so she walks out on him. This movie is very funny, and a must see if you enjoy Hugh Grant’s comedy. I’ve always thought of him to be a bit of an odd actor, but he and Sandra are nothing short of hilarious in this movie.

6. Miss Congeniality 2 (2005) After Cheryl Frasier and Stan Fields (played by William Shatner) are kidnapped, Gracie (an FBI agent played by Bullock) goes undercover in Las Vegas to find them. This movie is filled with hilarious moments that will keep you laughing all the way through.

5. All About Steve (2009) Convinced that a CCN cameraman is her true love, an eccentric crossword puzzler follows him as he travels all over the country, hoping to convince him that they belong together. This movie is incredibly funny, and you can read my review of it if you wish (it was one of my first posts). This movie did not get great reviews, but I believe it is great!

4. Miss Congeniality (2000) An FBI agent must go undercover in the Miss United States beauty pageant to prevent a group from bombing the event. Sandra goes from being a stuffy FBI agent to a beauty queen in this very funny comedy that will make you want more, which is good since there is a second movie!

3. The Lake House (2006) A lonely doctor who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its former resident, a frustrated architect (played by Keanu Reeves). They must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it’s too late. The Lake House is a great feel good movie, filled with suspense and romance. I adore this movie, and call it one of my top favourite movies ever. Keanu and Sandra are so great together.

2. The Proposal (2009) A pushy boss forces her young assistant (played by Ryan Reynolds) to marry her in order to keep her Visa status in the U.S. and avoid deportation to Canada. Ryan and Sandra are awesome together! I am a big fan of Ryan, and he and Sandra make this movie far too funny. There is no way you can sit through this movie without laughing!

1. The Blind Side (2009) The story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick, all with the help of a caring woman and her family. I had heard a lot of great reviews of this movie before deciding to watch it for myself. I figured maybe all the hype was going a little overboard, but I was wrong. This movie is amazing. The story of Michael is very sad, but it’s amazing how much he could accomplish just by being himself and having the help of Sandra Bullock’s character Leigh Anne and her family. Sandra is amazing in this movie. She brings so much strength and dignity to the character and really makes it her own. If you have never watched this movie, please do so. You definitely won’t regret it!

Pigeon

February 27, 2012

I don’t remember how long ago I took this photo of this pigeon. All I know is that I’ve always thought pigeons were cool. Why? I don’t really know, but I do think it’s cool that they’re always different colours, whether it’s grey, white, brown, pink, green, or some other colour. I really love seeing the white ones, because you don’t see many of them.

Living in a large city, you always see pigeons downtown and I always see tons of people who appear to be terrified of them, which I do not understand! Okay, I know they are not the cleanest of creatures, but they are just so cool to look at. 🙂

Alligator

February 25, 2012

I think alligators and crocodiles are two of the coolest animals ever. The above is a photo that I took of a photo of an alligator in a wildlife book/ binder that I have. I’m not sure who took the photo, but it’s great! I’m not even sure why I really like alligators, as I don’t like snakes and they look similar in some ways, except of course for the fact hat alligators have legs. I just think alligators are really interesting with how they move and swim, and how they can sneak up on other animals or people. I really want to see an alligator up close, and by that I don’t mean at the zoo because I’ve seen them there. I’ll be travelling to Florida soon, so maybe I’ll see one there? I can hope! 🙂

African Elephant

February 24, 2012

Elephants are beautiful animals, don’t you think? I’d really like to see one up close and feed them!

Sea Horse

February 23, 2012

I thought I would post some pictures of some animals I find to be really cool. The sea horse is definitely one of them. They have the greatest look about them! Not to mention, it’s the males who get pregnant, not the females, which I find to be funny. I also learned that babies are born as perfect miniatures of their parents, which is pretty cool. Although I think that could be rather confusing when a sea horse is trying to tell who is who!

Oh, and one more cool fact is that other than crabs, few predators eat sea horses. This is because they are too bony- who knew?! Do you like sea horses?

Simple Plan

February 22, 2012

Simple Plan has been my favourite band for eight or nine years now, and they are by far my favourite band in the whole world. I was able to meet them in June 2011, and I just went to my third Simple Plan concert this past Sunday. Here are some photos from the concert:

There are 5 guys in Simple Plan. Pierre Bouvier- vocals, Chuck Comeau- drums, David Desrosiers- bass player, back vocals, Jeff Stinco- guitar player, and Seb Lefebvre- guitar player, vocals. They have four albums out: 1) No Pads, No Helmets, Just Balls, 2) Still Not Getting Any, 3) Simple Plan, and 4) Get Your Heart On. They are a pop/punk band who have been together for ten years. Songs you may have heard from them include: I’d Do Anything, Addicted, Welcome To My Life, Shut Up, Your Love Is A Lie, Jump, Astronaut, and Can’t Keep My Hands Off You.

Their music is amazing, as are they. They were all super nice when I met them. 🙂

If you enjoy great music, check them out: www.simpleplan.com

Do you like my photos? I had pretty good seats!

Flower Card

February 21, 2012

My sister and I were sent this card at christmas. I saw it sitting on our window sill the other day and thought I would take a black and white photo of it. It’s pretty beautiful for a card isn’t it?
